What computer music man hears: Many Great producers have a formula or a recipe for making great music. Over time this becomes there signature sound that people recognize and love.

amen to that! while some would say that music must be 'spawned' naturally, i'd really like to think that there should some structure behind it...

I really do agree with this! There are patterns in great songs and the hardest are to create one and to identify it as to be able to reproduce it.
